Belize Defence Force Air Wing

Formed in 1983. The Belize Defence Force consists of a small army with two BN-2B Defender (Islander) for Maritime reconaisance and transport, also a T67-200 Firefly and a Cessna 182 for training. Support is provided by the presence of a British Army contingent. In the past a unit of Britsh RAF Harriers were located in Belize. US Drug Enforcement Agency aircraft within the country are nominally under BDF control.
